What is CNC? Sep 29, 2024
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. It's a manufacturing process that uses computerized controls to operate machine tools.   Working Principle   - The CNC system reads a set of coded instructions (the G - code and M - code). These instructions tell the machine tools, like milling machines, lathes, or routers, how to move and operate. For example, in CNC milling, the machine precisely cuts away material from a workpiece to create a specific shape according to the programmed instructions.   Advantages   - High Precision: It can achieve very accurate and repeatable results. For example, in the production of aerospace components, CNC machining can ensure that parts are made with extremely tight tolerances. - Increased Productivity: Once programmed, the CNC machine can work continuously and often at a faster speed than manual operation. It also allows for lights - out manufacturing, where the machine can operate without human supervision for extended periods.   Applications   - Automotive Industry: CNC machines are used to manufacture engine parts, transmission components, and body parts. - Aerospace: To produce turbine blades, structural components of aircraft, and other precision parts. - Furniture Making: For cutting and shaping wood or other materials to create furniture components with complex designs.
  • About Milling
    About Milling Oct 29, 2024
Milling removes material through the relative motion between a rotating milling cutter and a fixed workpiece. The rotary motion of the milling cutter is the main cutting motion, and the linear movement between the workpiece and the milling cutter is the feed motion. For example, in surface milling, the milling cutter rotates at high speed, and the workpiece moves in a certain direction and speed under the milling cutter, thus milling away the excess material on the surface of the workpiece.

    About Turning Oct 30, 2024
Turning is a type of machining,is the use of the rotary motion of the workpiece and the movement of the tool on the lathe to complete the cutting of the workpiece. When turning, the rotation of the workpiece is the main motion, and the movement of the tool is the feed motion. The lathe can process all kinds of rotary body surfaces and part of the end plane. The turning accuracy is generally IT11~IT6, and the surface roughness is Ra12.5~0.8μm.
